Meet Soolin Choi

Soolin Choi is a Korean-English bilingual Counsellor, Parenting Coach & Career Coach, based in Singapore, offering professional, culturally attuned counselling for individuals, couples, families, and young adults. Soolin holds a Master of Counselling from Monash University an MBA from Stanford University, a MA in Simultaneous Interpretation (Korean-English), and a BA in Social Work. She has completed Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level 1) and is a member of the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) and the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).

What Soolin Brings to Counselling

Before becoming a therapist, Soolin built a successful career in business, entrepreneurship and education over two decades.  She held leadership roles in multinational companies in Sales & Marketing, where she managed teams, drove strategy, and thrived in high-performance environments. Later, she founded two small businesses and actively supported early-stage ventures as an angel investor. These experiences give her unique insight into the emotional toll of high-functioning lifestyles and the hidden stress often carried by professionals.  She also helped design youth mentoring programs for teenagers, which continues to inform her approach with adolescents and young adults in transition.

Her therapeutic work is deeply shaped by this dual expertise: the emotional intelligence of counselling, and the real-world understanding of corporate and cross-cultural pressures. She has a natural ability to connect with individuals who appear to “have it all together” but privately struggle with overwhelmingness, burnout, relationship challenges, or identity confusion.

Having lived and worked in several countries (including USA, Hong Kong, Singapore and Korea) and being part of an international marriage, Soolin understands the emotional impact of relocation, identity shifts, and cultural disconnection. Fluent in both Korean and English, she brings empathy, nuance, and deep cultural sensitivity to every session. Her own journey adapting to new roles, environments, and life stages fuels her belief that therapy can be a grounding space for self-reflection, clarity, and lasting personal change.
