Soolin holds a Master of Counselling from Monash University and completed her practicum training at the Singapore Management University (SMU), where she worked with students navigating a range of emotional difficulties. In addition, she holds an MBA from Stanford University, a MA in Simultaneous Interpretation (Korean-English), and a BA in Social Work. She has completed Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level 1) and is a member of the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) and the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).

Before becoming a therapist, Soolin built a successful career in business, entrepreneurship, and education. She held leadership roles in multinational companies in Sales & Marketing, where she managed teams, drove strategy, and thrived in high-performance environments. Later, she founded two small businesses and actively supported early-stage ventures as an angel investor. These experiences allow her to connect deeply with professionals who may appear successful on the outside but feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected on the inside.
Her passion for working with young people was further shaped by her time as a counsellor at a university wellness centre, where she supported students facing academic pressure, relationship difficulties, childhood trauma, depression, and anxiety. She also helped design youth mentoring programs for teenagers, which continues to inform her approach with adolescents and young adults in transition.

Having lived and worked in several countries and being part of an international marriage, Soolin understands the emotional complexity that comes with cultural transitions, identity shifts, and feelings of dislocation.  Fluent in both English and Korean, she brings cultural sensitivity and emotional nuance into the room. Her own journey adapting to new roles, environments, and life stages fuels her belief that therapy can be a grounding space for self-reflection, clarity, and lasting personal change.

In her counselling practice, Soolin works with individuals and couples navigating a range of emotional and relational challenges, including depression, anxiety, life transitions, childhood trauma, emotional dysregulation, grief, self-esteem. She also supports clients dealing with stress related to career decisions, relocation, cross-cultural adjustment, and parenting. Soolin creates a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes. Her approach is integrative and collaborative, helping clients build self-awareness, strengthen emotional regulation, and reconnect with their values and inner resilience.
