Biography
Anne is an experienced German-Australian counsellor holding a Bachelor’s degree of Psychology and a Master’s degree in Guidance & Counselling from James Cook University, Singapore. As a registered counsellor and clinical supervisor with the Australian Counselling Association, she brings a deep understanding of mental health issues and career development to her work. Anne is also certified as a crisis responder by the National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA).
With over 9 years of clinical experience in both public and private health sectors in Singapore and Australia, Anne has worked with diverse client groups ranging from teenagers to adults. Her expertise spans managing anxiety, depression, and personality disorders, as well as building self-esteem, navigating career transitions, and supporting individuals with disabilities and co-morbidities.
Anne has also served as a career and vocational counsellor in both Singapore and Australia, assisting individuals in preparing to join the workforce for the first time, professionals transitioning into entirely different industries, and supporting parents and those affected by illness in re-entering the workforce. As a working mother, she possesses a strong understanding of the return-to-work journey for parents and the balancing act between work, home, and parental responsibilities.
As an expat who has lived across three continents, Anne brings a multicultural perspective and empathy to her work, with a deep understanding of the adjustment process and its psychological impacts. With her own multicultural family background, she brings a nuanced understanding to supporting individuals, couples and families navigating cross-cultural relationships and complexities.
Anne's approach is centred around empowering individuals to develop the skills and confidence to self-manage their mental health and live a fulfilling life. Her goal is to support individuals in overcoming barriers and achieving their goals. Anne strongly believes that everyone has the ability to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.
