Calista holds a Masters of Science in Counselling Psychology from Assumption University, Thailand, a Masters of Arts in Drama and Movement Therapy from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (UK), an Bachelor of Law from the University of Bristol, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Management from the National University of Singapore. Calista is currently an Associate Member with Singapore Psychological Society and Singapore Association for Counselling.

Prior to her clinical work, Calista was the Co-founder and CEO of an international, multi award-winning health foods company. She led the organisation through significant growth, blending conscious leadership with cross-cultural entrepreneurship, and was invited as a guest lecturer at MBA and eMBA programmes at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where she taught Conscious Leadership and Cross-cultural Entrepreneurship. This background brings a grounded, strategic, and real-world dimension to her work, particularly in supporting clients navigating leadership, career development, and burnout.

Calista is an integrative psychotherapist specialising in trauma and complex trauma (C-PTSD), relational work, and depth-oriented healing. As a true third culture individual of Peranakan heritage—her mother of Indonesian, Portuguese, Italian, and Native American descent, and her father Chinese—Calista brings a deeply nuanced understanding of identity, belonging, and cultural complexity. Having grown up in Hong Kong and China in the early 90s, and lived across the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, Hong Kong, and Thailand, she is highly attuned to the psychological impact of cross-cultural transitions, expat life, and the ways relocation shapes individuals, relationships, and family systems. She works fluently in English and Mandarin, with conversational Cantonese and basic Thai, Japanese, and French, allowing her to connect meaningfully with diverse clients. She also has extensive experience supporting individuals with special needs, including those who are physically challenged, preverbal, or nonverbal, meeting each client with patience, respect, and care.

She works with individuals navigating complex trauma (C-PTSD), trauma, anxiety, depression, attachment wounds, pre- and post-natal challenges, identity exploration, LGBTQ+ concerns, career growth, burnout, addiction recovery, and grief—including complex grief. She also supports couples in rebuilding emotional safety, improving communication, and reconnecting on a deeper level. Her approach combines trauma-informed clinical rigour with relational, somatic, supportive communication, and expressive arts therapies—allowing healing to unfold cognitively, emotionally, and symbolically.

Grounded in Rogerian humanistic therapy, Relational Psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), strengths-based approaches, positive psychology, existential therapy, mindfulness, and Jungian analysis and depth psychology, Calista supports clients in moving beyond coping towards meaningful, lasting transformation. She is trained in Jungian Psychology and Jungian Analysis for clinical practice at the CG Jung Center (Dublin), and in integrative somatic psychotherapy techniques under Dr Abi Blakeslee, alongside specialised training in complex and somatic trauma. Her work is further enriched by expressive arts and the Sesame Drama and Movement Therapy approach from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (UK), as well as play therapy training in the United States, enabling her to work creatively across the lifespan—from young children to end-of-life adults.

Clients often experience Calista as warm, perceptive, and deeply present. She offers a safe, compassionate space where healing unfolds at a pace that feels right, supporting lasting growth, resilience, and a return to one’s authentic self.
