Natasha holds a Graduate Diploma in Counselling from the Australian College of Applied Psychology, a Bachelor of Arts in Social Anthropology, Industrial Relations, and Women’s Studies from the University of Sydney, and a Graduate Diploma in Business Management from the New South Wales Business College in Sydney, Australia with Certificates in Rehabilitation Coordination and Occupational Health and Safety in the Workplace from the Australian Industry Group. She also holds Certificates as a Reiki Practitioner and Hirudo therapist from the British Association of Hirudotherapy and Neuro Linguistic Life Coach from the National Federation of NeuroLinguistic Programming, USA. She is a member of the Australian Counselling Association.
Natasha has always found herself drawn to adventure and has counselled across the globe working with diverse cultural backgrounds in Australia, Singapore, and United Arab Emirates for the past 18 years (see Natasha's blog on counselling-in-various-countries-part-3-uae-australia-singapore-by-natasha-larkin.html). As a human resources professional and Life Coach for more than 25 years, She specialises in dealing with employees facing job loss, career change, stress management and work conflict. Her counselling experience extends to working with grief and loss, dealing with bullying, anxiety, mental health issues and relationship challenges. She has a special interest in working with teenagers and adults on self-esteem, depression, relationship issues, pain management and mediation along with a variety of life transitional issues.
Natasha practices person-centered, cognitive behavioural, and solution focused approaches. Her philosophy is our past have influences impact our present but does not dictate our future. Her goal is to enable clients to cope better with their situation and facilitate their resolution of issues so they are on their pathway to happiness.
