Counselling Fee: $200 per 50 min (during office hours), $210 per 50 min (during after hours)
Athita is available for both face-to-face and skype counselling service. For face-to-face session(s), both the therapist and client(s) are required to wear mask at all time.
Athita holds a bachelor’s degree in Human and Social Sciences from Thaksin University, Thailand, and a master’s degree in Counselling with specialization in Marital Family Therapy from Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. She is a Provisional Clinical member of the Singapore Association of Counselling (SAC).
Athita has worked in community counselling and welfare centres, residence homes, child protection agency, and other non-profit agencies before going into private practice. Prior to becoming a Counsellor, Athita has experience working in sales, business development, customer service, guest relations, and recruitment which gives her a good understanding of the corporate world.
While working with individuals, Athita assists her client overcome anxiety, depression, social phobia, grief, loss, and traumatic changes. Being an Expatriate herself, she is familiar with issues of transition and adjustment. During the sessions, Athita helps her clients explore their emotional, mental, and physical states, as well as ties to their family, society, cultural background. Using a variety of evidence-based techniques, she will help you re-connect to existing strengths and cultivate additional resources that support progress toward the changes you wish to make.
When treating couples (whether dating, engaged, or married), Athita will clarify what your mutual goals are, explore new ways of communicating and promote sharing of emotional needs. She works to equip her clients with a variety of ways to work through conflict, increase or rekindle intimacy, deepen friendship, and get the most out of their relationships. Athita has experience working with cross-cultural couples.
Athita is passionate about her counselling work and is currently studying parent-child relationship dynamics and expanding her work to individual’s issue such as stress/anger management, time management/organization skill, eating disorders. She values mindfulness, gratitude, and human connection.
Athita is fluent in English and Thai.
