All children have behavioural challenges at times. However, for some children their behaviour is more serious, leading to problems learning, getting along with peers and adults and difficulty with day-to-day functioning. In this workshop, we will focus on three of the more common behavioural issues that affect school aged children. Participants will gain knowledge about the following:
An overview of the signs and symptoms as well as specific intervention strategies, counselling approaches and parenting tips will be discussed.
Who is this for?
The presentation is intended for parents, teacher and childcare workers who are interested in understanding behavioural difficulties that children ages 6 to 18 might encounter. The 2-hour presentation will be co-conducted by Dr Storry Chan and Ms Delilkhan and includes short case studies, audience participation, handouts, and time for discussion of issues and questions.
