Emergenetics profiling personality compatibility

What is Emergenetics®?

Emergenetics® means "what emerges from your genetics". Behaviors emerge from our life experiences and are driven by the genetics of our heritage. It reflects the fact that we all have unique talents, some of which are learned and others inborn. Emergenetics® concepts are based on recent brain research. Formulated by Geil Browning, Ph.D. and Wendell Williams, Ph.D. in 1991, the Emergenetics® Profile is built on years of work focused on personality and the brain, including doctoral research at the University of Nebraska, post-doctoral research at Harvard University, and industry research and testing. It focuses on individual strengths and contributions.

When you take a profile using Emergenetics®, you will be able to look at your 4 thinking attributes that compose a left- and right-brain concept and 3 behavioural attributes. The interplay between thinking and behavior is integral to truly understanding yourself. The profile is a unique tool that provides a clear window into the way we think and behave. Your profile is presented graphically: it is colourful which makes it very easy to understand and remember.

For Organization/ Work Team
The experiencing of an Emergenetics® workshop together will not only create teambuilding but also help you form WEteams™, which is the combination of people where all attributes are represented, to maximize creativity and productivity in your organization.

It brings:
  • greater understanding of your staff, clients or co-workers
  • better time management
  • better managers who provide individualized climates for each employee
  • better hiring decisions
  • empathic oral and written communication
  • better presentations
  • ability to form knowledge communities for problem solving

Couple & Family
For couple and family, it helps you gain awareness of your personality styles and that of your partner/ family members. You can then all work on your strengths instead of fighting against them. It helps you improve your communication by understanding where your gridlocks and conflicts come from.

For School (STEP)
STEP (Student/Teacher Emergenetics® Profile) is a distinctive and results-oriented learning system built on Emergenetics® theory and tailored specifically for students (age 9 to 18). The foundation of this system is the STEP Profile, which determines students’ thinking and behavioral preferences in seven scientifically-based attributes, allowing them to better understand themselves—how they think, communicate and learn—and their interactions with others. As a school-based system, STEP also focuses on providing teachers with the tools and knowledge to enhance student learning by reinforcing STEP results.

Realizing the full effect of advancing student learning through STEP is dependent on creating and nurturing a STEP-culture within schools. With this model, teachers and students are equipped with both knowledge of STEP concepts and the practical ways to use them in the classroom and gain results. Below is the 2 prong process to mesh adult-and student-focused content and develop a STEP school culture:
  • Emergenetics® Faculty Seminar -Teachers and administrators experience Emergenetics® through an in-depth interactive workshop.
  • STEP Student Seminar - Students participate in a STEP student workshop where they gain insight into their unique learning preferences. Because teachers have already received significant Emergenetics® training, workshop results are quickly and easily translated into the classroom.
